Thank you for viewing my art. I love paint and color -- I always have, from as early as I can remember. When I was very little, I loved all things red. I had red cowgirl boots, and I so badly wanted the pair of red shoes worn by a mouse in my story book. When I got to kindergarten and tried finger paints, I was hooked! I remember the smell and feel of those first finger paints -- I couldn't wait to get my hands in them.
I grew up in Burbank, California, but I've lived in Mesa, Arizona for the past 33 years. My journey with painting began in decorative art and watercolor during the 1970s; and I've also painted in oil for the past 30 years.
Retired from a banking career 15 years ago, my husband and I own a business that allows me more time to paint. I now paint almost every day. My art education has been self-directed, and I've been fortunate to study at the renowned Scottsdale Artist's School under several professional artists: Joni Falk, Dick Heichberger, Robert Lemler, Hedi Moran, Julie Gilbert Pollard and Kim Johnson Nechtman. I have also studied extensively for ten years with the master Brazilian watercolor artist, Fabio Cembranelli.
Juried memberships: Arizona Watercolor Association, Oil Painters of America, Daily Painters of Arizona and Contemporary Fine Art International.
