Synthetic hair. Don't buy Princeton Neptune brushes for sketching-- they are too soft. You can buy a set of Princeton brushes for $20 - $30, or individually -- about $10 each. Sakura Jelly Roll Moonlight pens -- really fun to have for accents in your sketches. About $10 for a set of several colors.
Necessities for covering mistakes: Signo Broad White Pen and White Posca Pen fine point. Available online and at Michaels.
A necessity: small towel. This is a 12x12 micro-fiber towel folded in thirds.
Another necessity: paper towels. These are Bounty half-sheets cut in half again. Handy for your sketch kit.
